Selection Procedure for Punjab Police Department
There are two stages in the selection procedure for the Punjab Police SI position:
Written Examination:
- Mode: online
- Paper I: 120 minutes; Paper II: 120 minutes; Paper III: 60 minutes.
- Grades: 400 for Paper I, 400 for Paper II, and 50 for Paper III
- Part I: Math, Punjabi language, and general awareness. Paper II: English, Computer, Data, Logic. Punjabi in Paper III.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for Paper III, 4 marks for Paper II, and 4 marks for Paper I
Physical Examination:
- Men’s results: 1600 m run in 7 minutes, 3.65 ft long jump, 1.1 ft high jump
- Women’s 800-meter run in five minutes, 2.75-foot long jump, and 0.90-foot high jump
- For Ex-Servicemen: 10 complete squats in 3 minutes, and a 1400 m walk and run in 12 minutes
Eligibility for Punjab Police SI in 2024
For individuals to be considered for the Punjab Police SI job, they must fulfill the following requirements:
Education: Applicants must be graduates of an accredited university with a Bachelor of Science in science, commerce, or the arts.
Age Requirement: As of the deadline, applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 28. 33 years for applicants from SC/ST and 31 years for OBC applicants is the maximum age limit.
